A Thank You to Colin Powell
I'll be sad to see Colin Powell leave the Bush Administration next year. This op-ed on the pages of Friday's Wall Street Journal by Chinese dissidents Xu Wenli and He Xintong is a good example why. His persistence of keeping the issue of political prisoners in China in the news helped to reunite this family and to remind us all of the true nature of the Chinese government.

Having lived over a half century in the Communist world, I've never been familiar with Christmas. But on Dec. 24, 2002, I enjoyed 36 hours of Christmas Eve.
On this day, blessings fell on my entire family.
On this day, Chinese authorities released me from Yanqing prison in Beijing and escorted me all the way to the plane.
