Bill Whittle: (1) Islamic fascism is a dangerous and aggressive philosophy. (2) Weakness in the face of—or the refusal to recognize—such dangerous dogmas invites further aggression. (3) Therefore we should not respect the rights of Muslims to religious expression and the use of their private property. That doesn’t follow.
One can agree—and I do agree—that Islamofascism is an enormous threat to world civilization, and that Iran, Saudi Arabia, and allied Wahabbi nations do, in fact, constitute an axis of evil—and that the moral relativism and cowardice typically called by the euphemism “tolerance” are logically self-contradictory and logistically stupid....while at the same time believing that Muslims who own land in the United States have the inalienable right to build a mosque or a community center or whatever on their land if they want to. You can (and should) protest against their beliefs, you can call them all sorts of names—but you have no right to take away their property rights or deny them the freedom to exercise their religion. That principle is at the core of the civilization that I hope and expect to withstand any attacks by theocracies and thugs.
