More on my UFO sighting

I wrote to Bad Astronomy about my “UFO Sighting,” and got the following reply today:

Thanks for the email. I get a few “UFO” encounter emails like yours, but I never know what to say! I wasn’t there, so I have nothing to go on but notoriously fallible eye witness accounts. Your explanation of “bad air” may be right, or it may be autokinesis, the random motion of your eye making it look like the star was moving. Beats me! But I doubt it was an alien visitor.

But you don’t understand—I want it to be an alien visitor!

(Not really. That would freak me out.)
